Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a Repair Technician to repair, test, troubleshoot and inspect electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The role involves repairing controllers, power supplies, print heads and ink systems, and tuning products for optimum reliability. You will operate diagnostic tools, maintain accurate repair reports, and keep the work area clean and organized while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot to high quality standards.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and test procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment including controllers, power supplies, print heads and ink systems.
• Inspect and test products to maintain high quality.
• Adjust and tune products for optimum service and reliability.
• Suggest improvements to products, procedures, and testing methods.
• Operate diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, pulsed generators, strobe lights, microscopes and similar tools.
• Monitor inventory of working stock and related items; maintain clean, orderly work area.
• Ensure repair reports are completed for every work order and properly filed.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The Repair Technician repairs, tests, trouble shoots, and inspects electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, devices and other related equipment in accordance with proper company policies and procedures.

• Repairs equipment including controllers, power supplies, print heads and ink systems; inspects and tests all products to maintaining a consistently high level of quality.
• Adjusts and tunes products to provide optimum service and reliability according to established procedures and methods.
• Suggests approaches to improve products, procedural changes, and/or new methods of control and/or testing.
• Operates diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, pulsed generators, strobe lights, microscopes and other equipment.
• Monitors and reports on inventory of working stock and related items necessary to maintain acceptable work flow. Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner; works within extremely close tolerances and part specifications.
• Ensures that repair report is completed for every work order, maintains proper filing of reports at all times.
