Job summary

Aerzen USA Corp. in Katy, TX is seeking a Repair Technician to disassemble and evaluate incoming blowers and compressors, diagnose issues, and perform skilled repairs.

You will prepare reports and communicate actions to customers as needed. The role requires 1-3 years of mechanical experience with rotating equipment, high school diploma, welding and forklift certifications, and willingness to travel 10-20% to customers.

Qualifications

• Repair or rebuild blowers (3S-240S) using basic rebuild kits.
• Repair or rebuild blowers (HV 10-15) using basic rebuild kits.
• Read diagrams and checklists to perform repairs per standards.
• Prepare written repair reports documenting failure causes and work performed.

What You'll Do:

As the Repair Technician, you will disassemble and evaluate incoming blower, compressors and other Aerzen products, diagnose and recommend action, complete machine repairs, prepare reports and communicate actions as needed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Equipment Evaluation: Tear down and evaluate incoming equipment to assess damage, diagnose cause of damage, identifies root cause of failure and recommend further actions needed for repair.
• Mechanical Skills: Demonstrate and utilize good mechanical skills, an understanding of rotating equipment and knowledge of proper and safe usage of mechanic’s tools and shop equipment.
• Visual Product & Component Knowledge: Identifies Aerzen products and understands their use for a various customer application.
• Product Assembly: Able to assemble Aerzen Products per company defined procedures with accuracy, precision and quality.
• Repair/Rebuild Blower: 3S - 240S: Performs repair/rebuild of Blower using basic rebuild kit.
• Repair/Rebuild Blower: HV 10-15: Performs repair/rebuild of Blower using basic rebuild kit.
• Documentation: Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, and other process documentation to repair per Aerzen standards and customer requirements.
• Reports: Prepare a written repair report to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to customer.

Requirements

Position Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma (GED) Required.

Certifications:

Welding Certification (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) Forklift Certification.

Experience (yrs):

1- to 3-years’ experience related to mechanical, rotating equipment and/or engineer repair.

Software/Applications:

Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Usage.

Other:

Ability to use regularly a forklift, ladder, hand/power tools, digital equip., welding equip., hydraulic equip., refurbishing equip., calibrating equip., measuring tools, and pallet jacks.

Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to customers as needed.
