Job summary

Aerzen USA Corp. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair Aerzen products at customer sites and on company premises.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of field service experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and are comfortable with overnight travel. The role requires reading diagrams, using precision measurement tools, and maintaining safety standards while delivering professional customer support.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or associate degree; 5+ years field experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Over 4 years of field service and repair experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficient use of measurement/calibration tools.
  • Clean driving record; forklift, ladders, hand/power tools, welding and hydraulic equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service and repair Aerzen products at customer sites or at our facility.
  • Perform startups, inspections, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Handle control instrumentation, electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections.
  • Read diagrams and drawings to complete service tasks.
  • Provide professional customer communication and service options.
  • Complete repair reports detailing cause, work performed and parts used.
  • Conduct customer training on Aerzen products onsite.

Responsibilities
  • As a Field Service Technician, perform and carry out all tasks related to installing, assembling, servicing, and repairing Aerzen products. Provide customers with prompt, professional and high-quality service. Work is performed at our location and/or at our customers location. Services may be scheduled or on-demand. Overnight travel on short notice is often required.
  • Perform 100% travel, often four nights away weekly, on a continuous basis.
  • Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or preventive maintenance service on all Aerzen products at customer sites; represent Aerzen in a professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements.
  • Install, configure, calibrate and maintain control, measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog & digital); install and terminate electrical, pneumatic and fluid connections; understand controls narratives and analyze/troubleshoot process application related issues.
  • Analyze and correct communication issues; properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications.
  • Perform repairs and assembly on Aerzen products; disassemble; assess damage and evaluate failures on machines; diagnose problems by evaluating material condition and asking the customer questions; offer machine-based recommendations and identify root causes; utilize defined procedures and standard rebuild kit.
  • Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and other process documentation to perform service tasks, assembly and repairs on Aerzen products.
  • Communicate with customers to discuss job requirements, provide recommendations and service options, listen to customer concerns, and provide status updates during service call and at completion.
  • Assist engineering in plant design, modifications and hazard analysis.
  • Complete written repair reports to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, and equipment condition as received and returned to the customer.
  • Conduct customer training on Aerzen products when onsite.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or associate degree (2 years) in electronics technology or related field. 5+ years of field experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: Over 4 years of field service and repair experience.
  • Skills & Other Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams (dimensions, assembly, electrical).
  • Proficient use of micrometer, dial indicator, feeler gauges and coordinate measuring tools.
  • Must regularly use a forklift, ladder, hand tools, power tools, welding, calibrated measurement devices, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Clean driving record.
