Job summary

Transco Rail Services in Miles City, MT is seeking a Repair Technician for 2nd shift to perform basic repairs on rail car components and related tasks. This role requires reading layouts, work orders, blueprints, and schematics, with emphasis on teamwork and safety.

You will use pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, welders, and cutting torches to repair parts of metal and weldable materials. Physical effort includes lifting up to 50 pounds and operating in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

You will repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches. You will be responsible for performing a variety of rail car repair related tasks and working in a TEAM environment, establishing good working relationships at all levels.**Job Requirements:*** Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.* Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.* Knowledgeable or willing to learn how to perform air brake test.* The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.* The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.* The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.* Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.* Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.* Able to pass drug screen, physical.**What We Offer:**Transco strives to be the Employer of Choice.
