Job summary

HYTORC is seeking an in-house Tool Repair Technician to work at our Ontario facility in California. The role focuses on repairing and calibrating hydraulic and pneumatic tools, pumps and equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring proper form, fit and function through thorough pretesting.

You will diagnose issues, teardown and reassemble components, and coordinate with sales, service teams, engineers and customers to meet daily repair needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in repairing and maintaining tools and/or equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment or tools and plan a logical approach to troubleshooting and prioritizing workload.
  • Must have and be able to use own set of basic tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
  • Dependable team player with high energy and strong commitment to quality output.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Computer proficiency and excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to routinely lift 25-75 lbs., and occasionally 76 lbs. or greater.
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching and reaching.
  • Must wear protective equipment as needed.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have clean and valid driver’s license.

We are currently seeking an IN-HOUSE TOOL REPAIR TECHNICIAN to work out of our facility located in Ontario, California.

Responsibilities
  • Repairs and calibrate tools, pumps and equipment requiring mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic repair and performs preventive maintenance services.
  • Pretesting of hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools and links for the sole purpose of proper form, fit and function.
  • The job involves trouble‑shooting, tearing down, repairing, reassembling and testing pumps, motors and tools in shop.
  • Works with sales and service team members, engineers and customers to meet the growing day to day repair requirements.
  • Checks tools for safety decals and safe operating features and maintains an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
  • Demonstrates orientation toward excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications and interactions in a cooperative, positive and professional manner.
