Job summary

Paylocity in Mount Vernon, Ohio, is seeking a Repair Technician to teardown and rebuild valves and packing cases to OEM standards.

You will read dial calipers, use basic hand tools, and propose alternate methods to meet requirements, while adhering to safety and shop procedures. The role includes basic machining knowledge and standing to operate a sand blaster in a high-noise environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years mechanical shop/field experience.
• Observes safety procedures; reports unsafe conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
• Pro-active, problem-solving with changing priorities.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.
• Ability to handle several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases.
• Be able to read dial calipers.
• Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Able to stand and operate a sand blaster.
• Basic machining knowledge.
• Basic shop maintenance and clean up.
• Other duties may be assigned.
