Job summary

Bradshaw Supply is hiring for a frontline position in Teachey, NC. The role includes building and repairing hydraulic hoses, assisting customers, processing hose sales at the POS, and maintaining shop inventory.

You will work 8am-5pm on weekdays with a commission-based earning potential and paid vacation time. Qualifications include two years in auto/parts or related education, hands-on hydraulic hose experience, familiarity with farm equipment and machinery, and solid computer/POS skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair, patch and build hydraulic hoses in a timely and precise manner.
• Resolve shop related tasks; basic plumbing parts, bearings, repair work
• Ability to understand technical aspects of hydraulic hose sizes, threads, types and specs. Ability to understand technical aspects of hydraulic fittings, adapters, couplings, ferrules, connectors, general hardware bolts, nails, screws, lug nuts and others.
• Understand the needs of every customer and help them find a solution for the type of hose they need built or the right product they need.
• Operate hydraulic machinery.
• Complete and process hose sales on a point-of-sale register.
• Utilize tablets/computers for logging jobs and materials.
• Be efficient and timely on hydraulic projects as well as other tasks.
• Verify incoming hydraulic inventory, noting any issues and managing inventory.
• Keep track of hydraulic inventory (fittings, hoses, etc.) and be able to create an order for out-of-stock items. May also track inventory and create orders for other store departments.
• Stock and organize shop items and diligently work through each order to find any discrepancies and mistakes to report.
• Keep track of personal hydraulic material waste.
• Keep your work area organized, tidy and report any problems to management.
• During every shift you are expected to be assisting customers, completing tasks and projects or at your designated working stations preparing for the next job.

Additional Responsibilities

• Fill propane tanks.
• Assist customers with finding items they need throughout the store which includesgeneral hardwarein addition to hose assembly products.
• Unload freight trucks.
• Operating a forklift.
• Answer phone calls.
• Load culvert pipe and other products for customers.
• Price new products and restock shelves.
• Any tasks, projects or other work that is expected, requested and required.
• Assemble shelving and store fixtures as needed
• Stock and assemble in store displays
• Address customers in professional manner. Have a well-groomed appearance. Have the ability to easily adapt.

Qualifications/Preferences

• Two years of auto/parts shop related experience or education (References and employment checks will be completed for this position.)
• Previous experience making hydraulic hoses and hydraulicmachinery.
• General familiarity with machinery and farm equipment's.
• Experience working in the industrial or mechanical field. We may be willing to train the right person if you have mechanical/automotive experience with extensiveknowledge of fittings and are quick to learn.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machinery skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulic tools, hoses, bolts, fittings and equipment.
• Proficiency in computers, windows desktopand using point of salesystems.
• Be able and comfortable handling and processing cash, card and charge sales. Overall familiarity with computer technology.
• Willingnessto adhere to all policies set forth by Bradshaw Supply and to make this a career that you want to exceed in.
• Forklift certification would be a PLUS but is not required. We offer forklift certification class reimbursement for an employee should the job require it.
• Ability to identify thread and machinery parts to match the correct fittingand hoses.
• Ability to handle heavy and oily objects.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 60Ibs regularly and 100Ibs occasionally during your shifts.
• Ability to work timely in a fast-paced environment and remain adaptably diligent when you have multiple work orders due.
• Ability to work in un-climate-controlled shop temperatures which varies per season.
• Ability to navigate difficult customer requests, have special attention to details, be a self-starterand be diligent with scrap material.

This position allows you to earn commission on your sales of hydraulic hose assemblies.
