Job summary

A growing leader in clinical respiratory equipment is looking for a Power Mobility Repair Technician based in Portland, Maine. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing power mobility devices, visiting clients' locations, and providing education on equipment use. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Qualifications

  • Possess a valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to learn in-house operational systems.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Mechanical and situational problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to utilize basic electronic devices.

  • Visiting clients' homes to diagnose and repair mobility devices.
  • Communicating with clients regarding repairs.

Position

Power Mobility Repair Technician

General Description

The Power Mobility Repair Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Power Mobility Devices.

Schedule

Monday-Friday

*evening or weekends may be required for emergency repairs

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Visiting client’s homes, clinics and SNF to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Power Wheel Chairs and Custom Manual WCs as well as other seating systems.
  • Communicating with clients regarding concerns and resolutions
  • Training/educating clients and caregivers in the proper use, care and safety of equipment
  • Following up with clients to ensure client satisfaction
  • Working with manufacturers’ tech support to troubleshoot and identify required parts for repairs
  • Working with customer service team to coordinate daily routes and coordinate order processing
  • Obtaining quotes from manufactures for the repairs.
  • Communicate repairs needed and quotes on assessments and trouble shooting forms
  • Completing necessary documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assists in cleaning and disinfecting of equipment
To Succeed
  • Ability to communicate effectively through electronic devices (ie. iPhone)
  • Possess a valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to learn in-house operational systems
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Mechanical and situational problem solving abilities
  • Ability to utilize basic electronic devices
  • Organizational skills
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • durable medical equipment (DME): Preferred but not Required
  • Pass a background check
Requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and traveling in vehicle
