Pratt & Whitney EHRO in East Hartford seeks an experienced Repair Process Engineer to support the Engineering team. This onsite role manages Special Processes for jet engine component overhaul, including Brazing/Heat Treating, Peening, Waterjet, and Thermal Spray, while coordinating with operators and quality engineers.

The position emphasizes project management, process development, data-driven improvements, and hands-on shop floor engagement to sustain stability and capability across the line.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with multiple years in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience on shop floor and interaction with operators and engineers.
• Knowledge of aerospace processes and regulatory considerations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Brazing/Heat Treating, Peening, Waterjet, and Thermal Spray.
• Industrialize new machines and technologies; perform commissioning and validation.
• Develop process specs to improve quality and throughput.
• Analyze process data to identify trends and define control limits.
• Evaluate equipment performance and support capital upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce bottlenecks and variation.
• Lead root-cause investigations and support corrective actions.
