Responsibilities
  • Leads floor activities in the Fabric Repair department.
  • Operates power sewing machines to sew, alter, or repair military apparel, backpacks, and assigned fabric articles.
  • Assists with entering data from the previous day's work that tracks repair production of the fabric specialist, which helps create and generate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Maintains adequate stock of repair material and supplies within the fabric repair area.
  • Assists the Supervisor in determining which items are economically repairable based on cost-benefit analysis.
  • Verifies product is up to TAB/Army standards and corrective actions.
  • Coaches, mentors, and motivates the team for productivity and positive morale and engagement.
  • Communicates the company policies, announcements, and general information to employees using a variety of methods, including 1-1s, Huddles, Staff Meetings, and Paycom.
  • Promote TAB's Safety and Security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Hold self and others accountable for behaving in accordance with TAB's Core Values of Leadership, Integrity, Growth & Innovation, Heart and Teamwork (LIGHT).
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of all repair's raw materials
  • Ability to manage the repair team day-to-day floor operations
  • Quality control and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ethics and discretion with confidential or sensitive information
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrates sound work ethic
  • Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Ability to train, mentor, and inspire teams for positive results. No direct reports but assist supervisor as needed.
Communication & Contacts Required
  • Employees, departments, managers, executives, vendors, community members
Decision Making/Judgment Required
  • Make decisions as per Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies
Minimum Education And Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer
  • Having strong dexterity capabilities to grasp, assemble, and manipulate objects.
  • The ability to stand or sit for 7-8 hours a day.
  • Lift 10-25 lbs. items/products repeatedly.
  • Endure extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting.
  • Navigate safely in small or large areas/environments.
  • Ability to be in a stationary position (stand/sit) for 4-8 hours
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, adjust position for 30% of time
