Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a System Repair and Test Technician to perform final testing of all Supermicro and OEM RMA products, and to carry out ECO and BIOS upgrades. The role requires solid knowledge of PC systems and server operations, with a passion for meticulous testing and on-time delivery.

Strong attention to detail, good soldering and de-soldering skills, and excellent verbal and written communication are essential. This is an in-office, on-site position in San Jose, California.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in inventory management or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
  • Good soldering and de-soldering skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, resolve problems and manage time.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking inbound and outbound inventory to monitor flow and stock levels.
  • Reconciling inventory to ensure computer counts match physical counts.
  • Helping set ideal reorder points for stock based on how often items are used, vendor delivery times and seasonal demand patterns.
  • Generating and interpreting sales reports and trends, such as distributed inventory management, to predict inventory needs and ordering timelines.
  • Reordering stock according to periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) levels or company requests.
  • Developing and utilizing industry-standard inventory control methods, such as just-in-time (JIT) or first-in, first-out (FIFO) approaches.
  • Communicating with company employees and vendors to answer questions and facilitate inventory purchases.
  • Cross collaboratingwith sales, purchasing and logistics to align inventory with operational needs.

Job Summary:

As a System Repair and Test Technician, you will have solid knowledge of PC systems, server operations, and troubleshooting. Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$23.00/hr - $29.00/hr

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
