Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a System Repair and Test Technician to complete final testing of all Supermicro and OEM RMA products, perform ECO and BIOS upgrades, and provide reliable testing support.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a team, and strong inventory management skills, including tracking inbound/outbound stock and coordinating with sales, purchasing, and logistics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of inventory management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Track inbound and outbound inventory to monitor flow and stock levels.
  • Reconcile inventory to ensure counts match physical stock.
  • Set reorder points based on usage, vendor delivery, and seasonal demand.
  • Generate and interpret sales reports to predict inventory needs and timelines.
  • Reorder stock according to PAR levels or company requests.
  • Utilize JIT or FIFO inventory methods to optimize stock.
  • Communicate with employees and vendors to answer questions and facilitate purchases.
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing and logistics to align inventory with operations.

Job Summary

As a System Repair and Test Technician, you will have solid knowledge of PC systems, server operations, and troubleshooting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to complete the final testing of all Supermicro and OEM RMA products, as well as perform ECO and BIOS upgrades. We are looking for passionate and dedicated technicians who love what they do and can provide excellent testing support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Tracking inbound and outbound inventory to monitor flow and stock levels
  • Reconciling inventory to ensure computer counts match physical counts
  • Helping set ideal reorder points for stock based on how often items are used, vendor delivery times and seasonal demand patterns
  • Generating and interpreting sales reports and trends, such as distributed inventory management, to predict inventory needs and ordering timelines
  • Reordering stock according to periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) levels or company requests
  • Developing and utilizing industry-standard inventory control methods, such as just-in-time (JIT) or first-in, first-out (FIFO) approaches
  • Communicating with company employees and vendors to answer questions and facilitate inventory purchases
  • Cross collaborating with sales, purchasing and logistics to align inventory with operational needs
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in inventory management or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with inventory management software is a plus
  • Good soldering and de-soldering skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, resolve problems and manage time

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$23.00/hr - $29.00/hr

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
