Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation (EA) business unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.
The RER Technician is responsible for the hands‑on diagnosis, qualified failure analysis, repair, rework, testing, and validation of protection relays and related electronic equipment returned through Siemens' Return, Evaluation, and Repair (RER) process. This role supports customer and internal repair needs by independently evaluating returned products, determining appropriate repair actions, documenting technical findings, and restoring equipment to operational condition while maintaining Siemens' high standards for quality, safety, and reliability.
The ideal candidate has strong practical and theoretical knowledge of electronic troubleshooting and repair, can resolve non‑routine technical issues using established procedures and sound technical judgment, and is comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing and service environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support customer and production requirements.

The pay range for this position is $29.76 - $40.21 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
