Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Quality Control Test Technician for our Wendell, NC production team on 1st shift. The role conducts final test and inspection on LV/MV electrical distribution equipment, including switchgears and breakers, with a 6:00am–2:30pm shift and an hourly rate of $24.79.

Responsibilities include performing final inspections, nondestructive testing, and documenting findings while collaborating with Engineering and Wirers.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electrical wiring or electrical testing experience.
  • Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on electrical equipment.
  • Experience with various test equipment and reading schematics.
  • Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units per quality standards.
  • Conduct nondestructive tests, troubleshoot and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports with Engineering and Wirers.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety policies and promote continuous improvement.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor/management.

We are looking for anElectro-mechanical Quality Test Technicianfor our production team on 1st shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

TheElectro-mechanical Quality Test technicianis responsible for performing final test and inspection duties on Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment,such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.

Shift Hours:6:00am - 2:30pm

Hourly Rate:$24.79

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of electrical wiring or electrical testing experience.
  • Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience with various test equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
PreferredQualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications.
  • Experience with Hi-pot testing.
You’ll make an impact by:
  • Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct nondestructive tests on equipment according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports, working professionally with Engineering and Wirers during tests and reporting findings.
  • Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
