Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) is seeking an entry-level Claims Processor to support the preparation and filing of government claims and manage related conveyance activities. You will participate in closing loan accounts and processing payments and appeals as part of a development-focused team.

The role emphasizes foundational knowledge and offers on-the-job learning under close supervision, with consent to grow your professional capabilities in public housing finance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Primary and Supplemental Claims with Government agencies and handle conveyance where applicable.
• Close out final accounting of loans on select loan types (FNMA)
• Process claim payments/reimbursements and file appeals as necessary
• Process refunds and reimbursements on REO loans
• Assign Realtors and Appraisers to marketing files. Order and track BPO and Appraisal requests for marketing of the REO properties.

Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or program. Role learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self-development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training
