Qualifications

Primary Job Duties


  • 1. Inventory Management:

    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and inventory control of event rental items, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage conditions.

    • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records and identify needs for restocking or repair.

    • Implement efficient inventory tracking systems to monitor the availability and condition of all items.



  • 2. Warehouse Organization and Safety:

    • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of equipment.

    • Develop and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries within the warehouse environment.

    • Conduct regular safety training and meetings for warehouse staff to promote a culture of safety.



  • 3. Supervision and Staff Management:

    • Manage and schedule a team of warehouse staff, providing direction and training as necessary to ensure efficient operations.

    • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback, conducting regular team meetings to encourage communication and improvement.



  • 4. Logistics Coordination:

    • Collaborate with the Operations team to coordinate the timely loading and unloading of equipment for delivery to events.

    • Ensure that all rental items are checked for quality and cleanliness before dispatch, maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction.



  • 5. Maintenance and Repairs:

    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all warehouse equipment, ensuring that everything is in good working condition.

    • Work with the Operations team to identify items that require repair or replacement and manage the necessary processes.



  • 6. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, equipment conditions, and deliveries, providing regular reports to the Director of Operations.

    • Document any incidents or concerns related to warehouse operations and develop action plans for resolution.




Requirements



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or operations is required; experience within the event rental industry is a plus.

  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
