Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH, is seeking a friendly Rental Shop Associate to help guests with equipment rentals and fittings. You will process transactions, assist with equipment assignments, and ensure a fast, informative checkout.

The role requires exceptional guest service, basic POS proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must be at least 16 years old and able to stand for long periods, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• POS systems proficiency; strong typing abilities.

• Ability to read/interpret documents; write routine reports; communicate effectively to guests.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and complete the sale of ski/snowboard equipment rentals.
• Assist guests with equipment assignments based on guest ability and instruction.
• Process transactions on POS; issue receipts and tickets; handle cancellations.
• Review rental terms with guests at the point of sale.
• Issue helmets, boots, and poles as needed.

Job description

This position assists guests with equipment rentals check-in and works to provide an efficient, informative, and service-oriented environment. This position requires exceptional guest service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Also assists with ski and snowboard boot fittings, as needed.

This position is for 2+ shifts per week, shift hours are either from mountain opening (around 7:30/Sam)-1pm, or 3pm-6pm.

General Responsibilities

• Facilitate and complete the sale of skiing/snowboarding equipment rentals in the Gunstock Rental Shop; assist guests with equipment assignments by asking relevant questions to confirm reservation details based on the guest's ability and instruction
• Process transactions on computerized ticketing and POS procedures, including but not limited to: issue receipts and tickets to guests, issues credit to customers for cancellations and
• Review rental agreement terms and conditions with guests at the point of sale with clarity and accuracy.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education an experience. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in POS systems required. Strong typing abilities preferred. Must be at least 16 years of age.
