Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Retail/Equipment Associate to assist customers with products and services at the Greensboro location. You will use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory, move and hook up trucks and trailers, and ensure equipment is clean and safe for use.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy equipment, and willingness to participate in U-Haul University training. This is a full-time on-site position in Greensboro, NC.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred and the ability to educate customers on products and services.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing at least 50 lbs., with or without assistance.
• Ability to work around moving parts, fumes, or irritants and use protective gear when required.
• Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move indoors and outdoors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Utilize U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about offerings.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns of equipment.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring as required.
• Fill propane and operate a forklift as part of daily duties.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
