Rentals Coordinator - Heavy Industrial Equipment

Job Overview

Assist in planning and executing daily operations and sales at the rental center, develop strong customer relationships, and coordinate rental equipment and contracts. Perform inventory control, collaborate with the service department, and support various projects. Must articulate product benefits persuasively and understand the competition. Willingness to answer calls outside of working hours and travel 15% is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate rental center operations and sales
• Build and maintain customer relationships for repeat business
• Identify prospective customers with Sales Managers
• Assess and coordinate rental equipment for customers
• Process rental and sales contracts, credit memos
• Manage inventory of parts and fleet assets
• Coordinate with the service department for equipment readiness
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
• Persuasively communicate product benefits via phone or in person
• Learn about competitors to improve service delivery
• Answer calls outside of working hours and travel as needed

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service in heavy equipment/machinery
• At least 1 year of sales experience in equipment or parts
• Ability to tow non-commercial trailers and operate a forklift safely
• Mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, JDEdwards
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

Expected wage: $23-$29/hour depending on experience. Benefits include bonuses, insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401(k) with matching, tuition reimbursement, and a smoke-free, drug-free workplace.
