Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking a dependable Rental Yard Technician I to join our equipment rental team. This physically demanding role supports daily yard operations, services rental and low-maintenance equipment, and assists with delivery and installation efforts.

Qualifications

Commitment to following safety compliance rules and procedures.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Yard, warehouse, or equipment rental experience a plus.
Forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety protocols and safety procedures with company policies.
Assist with basic service and inspection of rental and low-maintenance equipment.
Wash and clean equipment returned from job sites.
Roll, inspect, and service gas hoses, ducting, and other bulk items used in heating and environmental control systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and shop environment.
Perform general upkeep tasks such as sweeping, organizing inventory, and disposing of waste materials.
Help load and unload equipment for same-day or next-day deliveries.
Ensure all equipment is properly secured and documented for transport.
Assist in the installation and teardown of heaters and other equipment at job sites.
Support field crews as needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned
