Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co in Ogden, UT seeks a dependable Rental Yard Technician 1 to support our equipment rental operations. This physically demanding role assists with servicing rental and low-maintenance equipment, maintains yard and shop facilities, and aids delivery and installation efforts.

You will follow safety protocols, perform basic service and inspections, keep equipment clean, load and unload for deliveries, and support field crews as needed.

Qualifications

• Commitment to following safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and after hours as needed.
• Reliable and detail oriented in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in yard, warehouse, or equipment rental is a plus.
• Forklift certification or mechanical aptitude is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist with basic service and inspection of rental equipment.
• Wash and clean equipment returned from job sites.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and shop.
• Perform general upkeep such as sweeping and inventory organization.
• Help load and unload equipment for deliveries.
• Ensure equipment is secured and documented for transport.
• Support field crews as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
