Frank's Supply Company is a major supplier of construction tools and equipment, focusing on both sales and rental. We are currently seeking a qualified YARD FOREMAN for our Farmington, NM location.
Summary of Position Responsibilities:
The Shop Foreman's objectives are to supervise yard personnel, direct repairs and maintenance of equipment, provide the best possible service to Frank's Supply customers, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable work environment for our employees.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and ensure efficiency of rental yard personnel according to their knowledge and proficiency.
- Communicate daily with the corporate rental manager and store manager.
- Develop and manage a staggered daily work schedule for personnel to reduce overtime.
- Oversee and manage all paperwork daily.
- Maintain yard cleanliness and organization.
- Provide backup for yard operations when needed.
- Coordinate with the store manager regarding vacations for yard personnel to ensure proper coverage.
- Investigate and resolve customer or employee complaints.
- Collaborate with HR and store management on employee performance issues and terminations.
- Assist other departments with questions, product applications, and delivery expediting.
- Communicate with the store manager about shop tool requirements.
- Participate in personal development activities as directed by management, including training courses and self-instructional materials.
- Perform special projects, participate in project teams, and undertake other tasks as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, or kneeling for extended periods.
- Good eyesight and hearing.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment without distraction.
- Overtime on short notice.
- Dealing with customers and employees.
- Overhead reaching, climbing, and lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds consistently.

- Use of equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, copiers, and calculators.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of rental industry and mechanic experience.
- Strong managerial skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
