Job summary

United Ag & Turf NE is looking for a Rental Yard Attendant to support daily branch operations in Westbrook, ME. You will manage the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment, load and unload for drivers, and help with basic maintenance and pressure washing.

You will also keep the yard neat and safe, assist shop teams, and help ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Responsibilities include verifying delivery tickets, staging equipment, and ensuring equipment is ready for use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with construction equipment a plus.
• Experience in an equipment yard is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal drivers, external haulers, and customers with loading and unloading of rental equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of delivery tickets and returned equipment documentation.
• Wash, organize, and perform basic upkeep on rental equipment and other assets.
• Review rental orders and stage equipment for timely pickup and delivery by drivers.
• Conduct routine checks to confirm equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard‑free yard and work area.
• Support fellow team members across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

United Ag & Turf NE is looking for a Rental Yard Attendant. The Rental Yard Attendant plays a key role in supporting daily branch operations by managing the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading machinery, maintaining yard organization, and overseeing equipment check-in and check-out procedures. Additionally, this role helps the shop team by pressure washing equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

Requirements

Preferred

• Familiarity with various types of construction equipment
• Yard or other operational experience at an equipment rental yard preferred
• Construction related experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED

The posted pay range reflects the full compensation range for this position. Starting pay is determined based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic market, and internal equity. Most new hires are placed within the lower to middle portion of the range, with opportunities for continued wage growth as they develop in the role.
