Job summary

United Ag & Turf NE is seeking a Rental Yard Attendant to support daily branch operations by managing the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment. You will assist with loading and unloading, maintain yard organization, and oversee check-in/check-out procedures.

The role includes basic maintenance tasks under supervision, washing equipment, and helping the shop team. High school diploma or GED is required, and construction equipment familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with rental yards and equipment handling preferred.
• Familiarity with construction equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal drivers, external haulers, and customers with loading and unloading of rental equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of delivery tickets and returned equipment documentation.
• Wash, organize, and maintain rental equipment and assets.
• Review rental orders and stage equipment for pickup and delivery by drivers.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is safe and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized yard and work area.
• Support team members across departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Rental Yard Attendant plays a key role in supporting daily branch operations by managing the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading machinery, maintaining yard organization, and overseeing equipment check-in and check-out procedures. Additionally, this role helps the shop team by pressure washing equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

What You’ll Do

• Assist internal drivers, external haulers, and customers with safe and efficient loading and unloading of rental equipment.
• Ensure accuracy of delivery tickets and returned equipment documentation.
• Wash, organize, and perform basic upkeep on rental equipment and other rental assets.
• Review rental orders and stage equipment for timely pickup and delivery by drivers.
• Conduct routine checks to confirm rental equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard and work area.
• Support fellow team members across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Preferred

• Familiarity with various types of construction equipment
• Yard or other operational experience at an equipment rental yard preferred
• Construction related experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED

The posted pay range reflects the full compensation range for this position. Starting pay is determined based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic market, and internal equity. Most new hires are placed within the lower to middle portion of the range, with opportunities for continued wage growth as they develop in the role.
