Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Rental Technician I to perform high quality repair work on Caterpillar equipment, ensuring safe, timely service and customer satisfaction. You will work within established guidelines and document activities to support warranty and parts processes.

Responsibilities include completing jobs, following safety policies, handling paperwork, using diagnostic software and hand tools, and applying Cat reusability guidelines. Travel up to 10% and safety-sensitive designation apply.

Qualifications

• CAT product line knowledge of natural gas engines, electrical, electronic, mechanical systems.
• Basic knowledge of gas/diesel engines and EPG systems and troubleshooting.
• Proficient use of hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
• Ability to provide accurate quotes.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Will be certified prior to operating a forklift/man lift.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks within ERLG without sacrificing quality and/or safety.
• Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Understand and apply Cat reusability guidelines.
• Submit parts and core returns in a timely manner with appropriate documentation.
• Perform warranty downloads of ECM.
