Sturtevant's in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Rental Supervisor to manage the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department. You will supervise staff, train and handle inventory to maximize profitability while delivering top-tier guest service.

The role requires a strong ski/snowboard background, prior leadership in rental operations, and the ability to multi-task with POS systems. A high school diploma is required; flexibility for nights/weekends is necessary; MS Office proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and personal conduct.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of products and industry trends.
• Ensure staff are trained with proper DIN settings and boot fitting.
• Maintain accurate pricing including promotions.
• Keep store clean and organized; monitor payroll budget.
• Assist manager with hiring, training, coaching, and staffing.
• Assist in administering company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention.
• Prepare, distribute and maintain required documentation.
• Open/close store when manager unavailable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary Description : Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Ski / Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision, training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best-in-class guest service.

Job Responsibilities :

• Maintain the high-standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background
• Prior leadership experience in ski / snowboard rental operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task
• Experienced with POS systems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds
