Christy Sports in Breckenridge is seeking a Rental Supervisor to oversee the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department, supervise staff, train, and manage inventory to maximize profitability while delivering best-in-class guest service.

The role requires strong product knowledge, leadership, and the ability to handle pricing, promotions, and payroll considerations in a fast-paced mountain retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong ski and/or snowboard knowledge and be able to apply it to guest service.
• Prior leadership experience in ski/snowboard rental operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Self-motivated with ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and example.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and stay current on trends.
• Train staff on binding DIN settings and proper boot fitting.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and promotions are applied.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Assist manager with payroll monitoring and staff development.
• Support policies and procedures as directed by management.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention practices.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation.
• Open/close store when needed in manager's absence.

Summary Description: Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Ski / Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision, training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best-in-class guest service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain the high-standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background
• Prior leadership experience in ski / snowboard rental operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task
• Experienced with POS systems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
