Christy Sports in Avon, Colorado is seeking a Rental Supervisor to lead the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department. You will supervise staff, manage inventory, and drive profitability while delivering best-in-class guest service.

Reports to the Store Manager and coordinates training, pricing accuracy, and promotions. The role requires strong ski/snowboard knowledge, prior leadership, and flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong ski or snowboard background.
• Leadership experience in rental operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with POS systems.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and personal conduct.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and industry trends.
• Train staff with binding DIN settings and boot fitting.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including promotions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist payroll budgeting.
• Assist store manager with hiring, training, and coaching.

Summary Description: Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Ski / Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision, training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best-in-class guest service.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain the high-standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

What Makes You a Fit:

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background
• Prior leadership experience in ski / snowboard rental operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task
• Experienced with POS systems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds
