Zusammenfassung

Ohio CAT Rental Store is seeking a Rental Service Technician to perform maintenance, service, and repair of diesel and gasoline engines, boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and related equipment. You will coordinate with the Service Manager to address problems that could delay work.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least one year of hands-on mechanical repair experience, with preference for AWP experience and JLG/Genie familiarity.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of hands-on mechanical servicing/repair with aerial work platform equipment or earthmoving equipment.
• Experience with Aerial Work Platforms, preferably JLG and Genie.
• Service and dispatching a fleet of lifts and other equipment.
• Knowledge of diesel and gas engines, electronics and hydraulics.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.

Summary

The Rental Service Technician performs operational duties related to diesel and gasoline engines, boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other general earthmoving and material-handling inspections, maintenance, service, and repair. Rental service will be responsible for communicating with the Service Manager about problems that could result in a work delay.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Follows safe working practices and procedures and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Completes service reports as required and maintains personnel timecards.
• Communicates effectively with and works harmoniously and constructively with other employees and customers.
• Attends required training classes.
• Follows clear verbal and written instructions.
• Locates and uses service literature and/or technical information.
• Uses hand and power tools and cleans mechanical parts and components.
• Transports components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.
• Uses service literature and parts ordering system.
• Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
• Performs maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired engines and/or equipment.
• Operates various types of cleaning equipment.
• Reads simple wiring and hydraulic diagrams and schematics.
• Disassembles and assembles components.
• Removes and install components from equipment and engines.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills And Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of hands‑on mechanical servicing and repair experience with aerial work platform equipment, material handling equipment, or earthmoving equipment is required.
• Must have experience maintaining and repairing Aerial Work Platforms, preferably JLG and Genie.
• Must have experience servicing and dispatching a fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other earthmoving and material‑handling equipment.
• Knowledge and experience with diesel and gas engines, and electronics and hydraulic systems, required.
• Must possess superior computer‑based diagnostic and mechanical skills.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this job include lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Standing up, sitting up, ascending and descending stairs, and climbing into machines may be required. Normal dexterity is needed. Repetitive motions and frequent movements of the hands, wrists, and fingers are required. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
