Qualifications

Must be 23-years-old or older.
Valid CDL license. Class B or greater preferred.
3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation or trucking.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Must clear driver screenings and provide information for DQ file.
Not disqualified to drive CMV under 49 CFR.
Ability to manage electronic log books and delivery software.
Capable of loading diverse machines onto transport vehicle.
Customer service oriented with a rock star attitude.

Responsibilities

Deliver and pick up rental equipment from store to customer site.
Complete pre/post delivery inspections and document drop offs/pickups.
Provide familiarization overview of equipment to customer.
Obtain customer signature on rental contract/damage inspection.
Maintain DOT log book and ensure compliance.
Take digital pictures of equipment before delivery.
Maintain safe operation and PPE compliance.
Demonstrate safety and professional conduct with customers.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Rental Rollback Driver you will be responsible for delivery and pick up of rental equipment to and from the store to the customer’s drop site. The Rental Rollback Driver will complete pre/post delivery inspections, document drop offs and pickups, and provide familiarization of the equipment with the customer.

Primary Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL assigned single body vehicle such as 10 wheel roll back
Maintain safe driving record and follow all safety guidelines for operating and loading equipment including the use of proper PPE at all times.
Maintain written and electronic DOT log book to be 100% in compliance.
Take digital pictures of all equipment prior to delivery.
Safely load and unload equipment onto assigned vehicle.
Inspect all equipment for safe operation and cleanliness as final check before leaving yard for delivery.
Obtain customer signature on rental contract and damage inspection sheet at time of delivery on >80% of deliveries.
Provide familiarization overview of equipment to customer upon delivery.
Inspect equipment for customer damage and safe operation before loading from customer location. Take digital pictures of unit at customer location and additional pictures as necessary of obvious or suspected customer damage.
Demonstrate customer service in a positive manner with fellow employee and representing Yancey with the best impression possible to our external customers as well.

Additional Responsibilities

Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner
Complete a Driver’s Safety Course
Additional duties as assigned by manager

Who We Are Looking For

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as a delivery driver, with a CDL class B license. You should be a critical thinker, able to lead by example, be comfortable with making decisions, show initiative, and a problem solver.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required Qualifications/Skills

Must be 23-years-old or older.
Valid, active CDL license. Class B or greater preferred.
3+ years of experience as a driver for heavy equipment transportation, general professional freight carrier, or heavy-duty trucking (e.g., wrecker, mobile crane).
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
- Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
- Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
- DOT Physical
- Drug Screen
Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR
383.5 or 49 CFR
383.51.
Ability to manage electronic log books and delivery software via electronic tablets.
Capable and competent of operating and loading a variety of machines onto assigned transport vehicle.
Customer service oriented with the willingness to go above and beyond expectations with a rock star attitude.
