Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a Rental Shop Lead Technician to diagnose and repair a range of rental and customer equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems. You will oversee safety, workflow, and reporting.

Ideal candidates have leadership experience in operations or sales support, strong problem solving, and a commitment to quality. The role requires overtime on short notice and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and locate mechanical deficiencies on rental equipment
• Source and order parts as needed for assigned shop and technicians
• Demonstrate proper use of diagnostic equipment
• Repair and/or replace all components of diesel engines hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systems
• Perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts, equipment, miscellaneous structures and attachments
• Complete all work orders (including warranty information) and time sheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner
• Operate equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
• Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures
• Must work overtime on short notice
• Photograph equipment when necessary
• Maintain a safe driving record
• Monitor and control work orders along with warranty and customer related issues
• Develop and monitor reporting technicians training and Yancey Bros correlating Computer Based Training or CBD
• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner
• Complete a Driver’s Safety Course
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Rental Shop Lead Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing problems and performing advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on a variety of rental, customer equipment, and tools.
