Job summary

JM Test Systems, Inc. is seeking a Rental Operations Coordinator to own the check-in process, inspect returned equipment, and route it to the lab to fast-track service. The role also includes traveling to other JM locations to train teams and roll out new processes.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of improving rental operations across the company. The position involves hands-on operations and collaboration with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in rental operations, warehouse, inventory, receiving, or similar hands-on operations role.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Comfort with computers, including Microsoft Office and inventory or order-tracking systems.
• Clear communication and the confidence to train others and share feedback on how processes can improve.
• Willingness to travel about 20% of the time to other JM Test Systems locations.
• Preferred: experience with test equipment, calibration, or equipment rental.

Responsibilities

• Own rental check-in from start to finish.
• Get equipment ready to rent again by cleaning, inspecting, and tagging assets.
• Keep equipment status accurate and track units across locations.
• Document damage with photos and route to the right team quickly.
• Manage accessory inventory and request replenishment before stock runs low.
• Support other locations through planned travel (about 20%).
• Help improve our processes by updating procedures and closing gaps.
• Backup the check-out team by coordinating with Lab, QA, and Shipping.

The Opportunity

When a customer returns a rental, how quickly we check it indecides how soon it’s ready for the next customer. As our Rental OperationsCoordinator, you’ll own that check-in process. You’ll receive returnedequipment, inspect and document it, and send it to the lab so it’s back inservice fast.

This is a hands-on job with impact beyond one location.You’ll spend about 20% of your time traveling to other JM locations, whereyou’ll train teams, roll out processes, help Rental Managers solve problems,and share what you’ve learned on the floor. When the outbound side gets busy,you’ll also help check out equipment so customers get it by their need-bydates.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

• Ownrental check-in from start to finish. You’ll receive returnedequipment, keep receiving and drop-off areas clear, and write up each unitand route it to the lab on time.
• Getequipment ready to rent again. You’ll clean and prep units and verifytheir condition, accessories, and asset tags so each one is ready to goback out.
• Keepequipment status accurate. You’ll track every unit as ready, inprocess, awaiting parts, or out at the manufacturer or another location.
• Documentdamage with photos and send it to the right team quickly, so issuesare resolved and customers are billed correctly.
• Manageaccessory inventory and request replenishment before stock runs low.
• Supportother locations through planned travel (about 20%). You’ll trainteams, help launch new locations, and help Rental Managers fix problems onthe floor.
• Helpimprove our processes by pointing out gaps and helping updateprocedures, so locations work more consistently.
• Backup the check-out team by pulling, staging, and verifying equipment andworking with the Lab, QA, and Shipping teams to keep deliveries on time.

What You Bring

Required
