Job summary

T & M Hardware & Rental is seeking a Rental Manager to oversee day-to-day rental department operations, drive sales, ensure equipment readiness, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will lead a motivated team, coordinate deliveries, and maintain safety and quality standards across the rental floor.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership, communication, and operational knowledge, with a focus on teamwork, training, and customer satisfaction in a locally owned hardware environment.

• Promote safety and enforce store policies and safety standards.
• Protect equipment and store property from loss per policy.

Job Summary:

Rental managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the rental department including maximizing sales, maintaining equipment, coordinating rentals and deliveries, ordering repair parts, and modeling outstanding customer service experience. They should positively represent T & M Hardware & Rental consistent with company values. The rental manager will also help build an efficient, motivated and productive sales team. Their job will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Model excellent customer service by helping customers when necessary.
• Oversee daily opening and closing of the rental department.
• Supervisory tasks include equipment maintenance and repair management.
• Foster an environment where customers feel confident in their abilities to safely operate the equipment to contribute to the overall success of this area of the business.
• Immediately respond to customer complaints and resolve them as best as possible.
• Maintain rental equipment according to company and manufacturer specifications.
• Coordinates rental deliveries, pick ups, and inter-store movement of equipment.
• Ensure equipment is clean and organized and rental rates signage is maintained.
• Ensures the rental departments stays clean and orderly.
• Be a role model for safety, creating a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all store policies and safety standards.
• Protect equipment and store property against internal and external loss. Respond with appropriate action, according to store policy.
