Job summary

Sanco Equipment in Minnesota is seeking a motivated Rental & Inside Sales Specialist to drive rental growth, support equipment sales, and keep our rental fleet ready to perform.

In this role you’ll blend customer service, sales, and hands-on equipment operations, building lasting relationships, solving problems, and delivering equipment solutions while maintaining fleet cleanliness and readiness for rent.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment, rental, construction, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working both at a desk and around equipment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business software preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment in/out, document condition, hours, and completeness.
• Prepare equipment for next rental by cleaning, staging, and coordinating maintenance.
• Manage rental contracts, billing, extensions, and customer documentation.
• Track fleet availability, maintenance schedules, and equipment readiness.
• Identify and document equipment damage, wear, or missing items.
• Work closely with service personnel to minimize fleet downtime.
• Assist customers with rental and equipment inquiries by phone, email, and in person; generate quotes and follow up on sales opportunities.
