Job summary

Louisiana Cat is hiring a RENTAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN for the Alexandria, LA area. You will diagnose, repair and service construction rental heavy equipment, reading manuals and schematics to determine repair methods.

You will replace components, assemble systems and manage work orders while delivering strong customer service in a safety-first environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years of field experience, and solid mechanical aptitude with basic hand-tool

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• REQUIRED: Minimum of 3 years of field experience.
• REQUIRED: Strong mechanical aptitude.
• REQUIRED: Basic understanding of hand tools.
• REQUIRED: Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• REQUIRED: Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must own required tool inventory (Louisiana Cat tooling program).
• Strong customer service skills and safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on heavy rental equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics and specifications to determine repair methods.
• Replace or repair defective components using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and install electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Rebuild, install and align pump assemblies with safe rigging methods.
• Create and track work order documents in a timely manner.
• Be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Promote positive customer service in line with Caterpillar and Louisiana Cat standards.
