Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator for our Waukegan branch. This role manages rental operations efficiently through inventory control, record keeping, delivery coordination, and reporting, under the supervision of the Rental Manager. The pay rate is $19-26/hr, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

1. Respond promptly and clearly to customer inquiries, recommend suitable equipment, handle complaints, and maintain positive relations.
2. Communicate effectively with the Department Manager and rental technicians regarding upcoming equipment needs.
3. Assist other departments with rental information as needed.
4. Ensure timely deliveries and keep customers informed of delays.
5. Maintain up-to-date rental specifications and adhere to company policies.
6. Accurately document lost rentals, inspections, transfers, customer requests, and scheduling details.
7. Possess technical knowledge of rental equipment, safety, and maintenance procedures; instruct customers accordingly.
8. Handle customer complaints diplomatically and report issues requiring further attention.
9. Dispatch trucks and drivers efficiently, verify contract requirements, and ensure all documentation is complete.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Rental Manager.
