Thompson Machinery is hiring a Rental Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Cat Rental Store and manage rental sales coordination. You will work with the Rental Asset Manager and Rental Sales Representatives to process orders, contact customers, and ensure inventory availability.

The role requires basic high school education, dependability, and a professional approach to customer service and operations, with some tasks performed outdoors or in the yard.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support and coordinate rental sales at the Cat Rental Store.
• Assist Rental Sales Representatives with rental transactions and orders.
• Coordinate transportation, pricing, and inventory availability.
• Rents equipment/attachments and sells accessories at the counter or by phone.
• Answer telephone and direct calls to correct individuals or departments.
• Develop and present sales proposals from customer inquiries.
• Maintain product knowledge of equipment and Allied products.
• Schedule, dispatch, and route vehicles for transport of equipment.
• Coordinate with shop staff regarding repair status and availability of equipment.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of equipment in all duties.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Rental Coordinator position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Cat Rental Store with the coordination and processing of rental sales. Reporting to the Cat Rental Store Manager, the position will work closely with the Rental Asset Manager, assist Rental Sales Representatives with rental transactions and orders, including customer contacts, pricing, inventory availability, coordination of transportation/shipping, and service requests. Rents equipment/attachments and sells accessories at the rental counter or by phone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Daily operations include operating and moving equipment around the yard. Occasional need to perform these duties outside.

• Reconcile electronic charge transactions.
• Answer telephone and direct calls to correct individuals or departments.
• Assist customers when necessary.
• Develop sales proposals and/or presentations from customer inquiries.
• Maintain adequate product knowledge of equipment & Allied products.
• Research equipment, parts, or Allied products to meet specialized customer requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding equipment & Allies products.
• Schedule, dispatch, and route vehicles for transport of equipment and Allied products.
• Support sales staff demonstration and sales agreements.
• Coordinate with shop staff regarding repair status and availability of equipment.
• Requires frequent hand use for inspecting, typing, operating the phone, handling materials, and other job-related tasks
• May work in situations where hazards may be present
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
