Summary: Under the supervision of the Manager of District-Wide Rentals & Memberships, the Rental Attendant is responsible for greeting visitors and providing information about rentals and facilities. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Secure district facilities upon opening or closing, including lighting, doors, and park gates.
2. Enforce rules and proper usage of facilities.
3. Greet visitors courteously, attend to their needs, and provide necessary information.
4. Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness of lobby, rental spaces, kitchen, and bathrooms.
5. Set up rental spaces, including tables and chairs, as per floor plans.
6. Check and restock supplies, including bathrooms and first aid kits.
7. Ensure trash is disposed of properly at the end of rentals.
8. Complete facility checklists to determine if deposits should be returned.
9. Notify supervisor of any concerns affecting the facility or upcoming rentals.
10. Maintain sidewalk and entrance areas free of debris, snow, or ice; shoveling may be required.
11. Complete incident or accident reports as needed.
12. Follow emergency procedures and assist in emergencies.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by the Park District.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with cash handling.

Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.

Schedule

As needed based on rental schedules.

Part-time, non-exempt
