Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring Rental Associates for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 at our resort locations in the United States. Starting wage is $20/hour with part-time shifts and flexible schedules including nights, holidays, and weekends.

This position focuses on delivering world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment, and guiding guests through equipment operation and safety. Training provided, with opportunities across mountain activities and retail operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is beneficial.
• Ability to stand, be active, and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops.
• Fit guests with equipment - we'll train you!
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard
• May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales
• Other duties as assigned

Job Summary:

Rental associates are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20/hr

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

• Mountain Activities

• Retail Rental operations

• Food and Beverage Support

• Ticket sales or scanning

• Lift Operations

• Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is $20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
