Job summary

Idealease of West Michigan is seeking a Rental Account Manager to drive truck rental sales and manage the Idealease fleet across Central and West Michigan. The role focuses on growing our rental, leasing, and maintenance business in Mid-Michigan, with daily travel to branch locations and customer sites.

You will prospect new customers, maintain relationships, and coordinate with maintenance and administration to meet rental needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; concentration in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Communications is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to drive our commercial vehicles, including a 26’ box truck.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting for new customers via cold calling, telephone solicitation, email, in-person visits, or any other means to grow the business.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers through phone contact, email, or in-person visits to grow the business with these accounts.
• Use company software to track all customers and prospect activity.
• Inspect and check-in / check-out of trucks as needed.
• Turn in expenses reports, pipelines, and proposal recaps bi-monthly to the General Manager.
• Coordinate all rental account needs with maintenance, and administration departments.
• Provide and exchange sales leads with the Lease Account Manager.

The Rental Account Manager is responsible for truck rental sales and management of the Idealease truck rental fleet in Mid-Michigan and West Michigan.

Our network allows us to rent, lease, and maintain our vehicles using our network of hundreds of truck dealerships. There is a great opportunity to grow with us as we continue to expand our truck rental, leasing, and maintenance business in Mid-Michigan and West Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting for new customers via cold calling, telephone solicitation, email, in-person visits, or any other means to grow the business.

Basic Qualifications

• Results oriented, attention to detail, and good time management skills
• A valid driver’s license is required, as is the ability and willingness to drive our commercial vehicles--including a 26’ box truck.
• Regular, predictable, and full-time attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel daily within the branch locations in Central and West Michigan, customer locations, close geographical areas, and training sites. Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Idealease of West Michigan employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history).
