Job summary

Tri-County International Trucks/Idealease in Flint and Detroit is hiring a Rental Coordinator to manage truck rentals and inventory utilization. You will perform rental telemarketing and coordinate with customers to meet their needs.

The role requires at least 1 year of rental experience or a 4-year degree, with a clean driving record and strong interpersonal skills. Training new staff and handling billing tasks are also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of rental experience, and/or a 4-year degree.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• ACDL is not required but is a huge plus.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
• Drug screening and criminal clearances are also required.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

• Create rental proposals and make changes as necessary to satisfy customer request.
• Make outbound calls to potential and past customers to create new business.
• Distribute flyers quarterly.
• Create rental agreements using business systems.
• Check-in/check-out rental trucks, inspecting any possible damage and recording mileage.
• Billing and cleaning trucks as needed.
• Responsible for training new rental staff.
• Request estimates for damaged units.
• Maintain monthly mileage for Idealease.
• Submit website billing for specific customers.
• Conduct customer orientations and cleaning interior of trucks as needed.
• Verify customer insurance.
• Completes daily lot inspection and updates status form.
• Process rebates for each truck deal.
• Filing.

The Rental Coordinator works under the supervision of the General Manager and is primarily responsible for the renting of heavy trucks and inventory utilization. Rental telemarketing is also an essential function of the position.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
