Join Our Team as a Rent Collection Specialist – Help Keep Our Community on Track!

Are you meticulous and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring timely payments and smooth operations? We’re looking for a dedicated Rent Collection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage rent collections, security deposit refunds, and work closely with residents to ensure minimal delinquency while promoting maximum occupancy. This position is key to maintaining the financial health of our community.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Rent Collection Specialist, you’ll handle rent collections, security deposit refunds, and assist with apartment rentals and lease renewals. You’ll also work directly with residents to resolve overdue payments and maintain organized records.

Rent Collections & Security Deposit Refunds

Record financial status of residents and update collection efforts

Post payments to resident accounts daily and process security deposit refunds

Handle apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals as needed

Prepare and send letters to residents for overdue payments

Contact residents daily via mail, phone, or in person to resolve delinquencies

Manage non-payment cases and schedule evictions with the County Sheriff

File & Report Management

Prepare monthly reports and maintain organized files for all documentation

Keep a database of rental assistance and subsidies in the area

Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal and state Fair Housing laws and company policies

What We’ll Expect from You:

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience or training

Sales and/or customer service experience required

Skills

Strong communication , organization, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in software applications, smartphones, and reporting tools
