Independence Realty Trust Inc. seeks a Renovations Technician to join Monticello by the Vineyard, a vibrant multi‑family community. In this hands‑on role, you’ll assist with apartment rehab, install appliances, fixtures, and perform light carpentry and demolition under Project Managers’ guidance.

You’ll prioritize safety, maintain clean workspaces, and contribute to value‑add projects across units, helping modernize homes while supporting a collaborative team in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General understanding of light repair on electrical, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 80 lbs.
• Capable of moving appliances between floors and handling dollies up to 200 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on apartment renovations from demolition to final touches.
• Install appliances, fixtures, plumbing, and electrical trim with precision.
• Keep workspace clean, safe, and organized to support quality work.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule.
• Contribute to transforming communities unit by unit.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General understanding of light repair on electric, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 45 lbs., with occasional lifts up to 80 lbs.
• Capable of pushing and pulling appliance dollies weighing up to 200 lbs. and moving items between floors
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, kneel, balance, reach overhead, walk, and twist comfortably
• Reliable vision, hearing, and speech abilities (with or without corrective devices)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
