Job summary

Earthtone Construction in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a remodeling carpenter for a full-time, non-exempt role on our construction team. You will perform basic framing, install doors and windows, handling siding, drywall, painting, and related carpentry tasks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and about 1 year of construction experience; must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work on site, and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of construction experience preferred.
• Basic framing, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and finishing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic framing and carpentry tasks (siding, sheathing, base boards, cabinet installation).
• Install doors and windows and perform drywall patching and painting.
• Assist with electrical wiring of outlets, switches, and light fixtures; basic plumbing installations.

• Basic Framing and carpentry (Siding, sheathing, base boards, and cabinet installation)


• Basic electrical, wiring outlets, switches, and light fixtures.


• Basic plumbing, (sink and faucet installation etc.).


• Installation of doors, windows.


• Drywall patching and Painting.


• Other duties as assigned.

You will also need to be able to:

• Ability to move/function within construction sites, including


• Ability to stand/walk/sit for extended periods of time


• Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls


• Bend or twist body


• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl


• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds with assistance

Education and/or Experience:

• High school graduation or GED equivalent


• 1 year of experience working in construction

Other Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to demonstrate skill in simple math


• Ability to communicate in spoken English


• An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high standards


• Must have a valid Driver’s License and insurance
