Job summary

BRAVO - A Cooperative Company in New York seeks an experienced Superintendent to support multiple renovation projects for a NYC Public Agency. You will coordinate subcontractors, supervise self-perform work, and ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role is full time, primarily second shift (3:30pm–11:30pm) with occasional day shifts, requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Architecture/Construction or related field, 8+ years in construction, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years work experience as a technical specialist in the construction industry.
• Experience with NYC public agencies strongly preferred.
• Proven experience interpreting contract documents (specifications, drawings, shop drawings).
• Experience in new and modernization type construction.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, and manage all subcontractors and vendors.
• Expedite subcontractors and vendors on a daily and weekly basis.
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues as they develop.
• Supervise self-perform work and develop specialized construction methods to improve job efficiency.
• Oversee material receiving, ensuring all items are inspected for quantity and quality, and receiving tickets are signed, coded, and filed properly.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost control records.
• Support jobsite reporting requirements, including: daily reports, field purchase orders, weekly unit reports and updates to the two-week lookahead schedules, monthly updates to the overall construction schedule.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to assist project managers in maintaining compliance with the submittal schedule and contract documentation.
• Attend all required jobsite meetings.
• Maintain consistent quality control in line with company standards.
