Job summary

Emerson’s Power & Water Solutions team in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Project & Commissioning Engineer to lead project engineering and commissioning for Distributed Control System projects in the Renewables sector. You will partner with customers and internal teams to deliver best-in-class DCS solutions across North America.

Responsibilities include managing commissioning plans, coordinating installation and startup activities, and providing technical engineering support while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar technical curriculum, or significant relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 2+ years of related experience in an engineering environment.
• Ability to work in both office and field settings, depending on project execution phase.
• Ability to travel up to 20% in North America.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering design, execution, and commissioning of renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System projects.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers by providing engineering expertise and facilitating communication between customer teams and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate and support installation, startup, testing, and commissioning activities for control systems and associated equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and track project schedules and commissioning plans to support successful project delivery.
• Communicate project status, priorities, risks, and resource requirements to stakeholders in a timely and proactive manner.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to optimize resources and support project objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, execution efficiency, and knowledge sharing across projects.
• Partner with customers, architectural and engineering firms, contractors, and internal teams to develop solutions addressing customer challenges.
• Contribute to development, review, and enhancement of operational and field documentation based on project experience and lessons learned.
• Support a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and customer success throughout project execution.
