Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks a Power Generation Electrical Engineering Intern for Milwaukee, WI. This May/June 2027 start is full-time through the summer, with potential for part-time work during the school year.

The starting hourly rate is $23.10 with paid company holidays. Join a team of engineers supporting operation, maintenance, performance and optimization of the Milwaukee Valley Power Plant, with mentoring from experienced staff and exposure to real-world projects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a graduation date after July 2027.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting operation and maintenance issues.
• Failure investigation and project support.
• Assist in managing small projects and equipment reliability.
