Job summary

Valero is seeking a Spring–Summer Co-op for Renewables Engineering at an ethanol plant. You will assist the Engineering Manager with design, modification and operation of process equipment, and support capital, expense and maintenance projects.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering, at least 60 credit hours, and a 3.0 GPA. Expect 40 hours/week, on-site work at various U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering or related major.
• Minimum 60 credit hours by start of internship/co-op.
• Graduation date on or after end of internship/co-op period.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Engineering Manager for the ethanol plant.
• Assist with design, modification, and operation of process equipment.
• Develop and justify capital, expense, and maintenance projects.
• Create technical specs to procure equipment and services.
• Support compliance documents per OSHA Process Safety Management regulations.
