Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Development Manager - Renewables to lead commercial strategy and development of energy infrastructure investments in the Pacific Northwest. You will guide cross-functional teams through due diligence, negotiations, and approvals to deliver high-value projects while strengthening grid reliability and advancing clean energy goals.

Responsibilities include managing acquisitions, joint ventures, and self-build initiatives across generation, transmission, distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, business administration, or equivalent.
• 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong business and financial analytical skills with ability to analyze complex challenges.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including documenting evaluations and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of transmission/generation opportunities and oversee feasibility analyses and plans.
• Negotiate and manage complex transactions supporting growth and resource planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across legal, engineering, finance, regulatory, environmental and operations.
• Ensure deal closing conditions are met and support regulatory testimony as needed.
• Manage external vendors and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
