Job summary

Exus Renewables North America in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support back/middle-office functions, focusing on settlement calculations, revenue reporting, and contract review. You will maintain revenue-centric models, assist with investor reporting, and help automate commercial processes.

The role interfaces with external clients for market analyses, supporting Day-Ahead/Real-Time scheduling, and validating settlements across ISO contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in M&A, FP&A, and Commercial domains required; energy industry preferred.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and auditing complex models in Excel.
• Proven competence in MS Excel-based modeling, financial planning and analytics.
• Knowledge of ISO market operations and settlements, PJM/MISO/ERCOT preferred.
• Basic understanding of energy markets, solar and wind technologies.
• Ability to extract, manipulate, and summarize large amounts of data.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic settlement and invoicing activities under supervision, including shadow settlements and validation of final settlements for standard ISO, hedge, and REC contracts.
• Collaborate with Accounting on invoicing, payments, and providing revenue reconciliations for monthly reporting.
• Support communications with asset management clients and offtakers; understand how market conditions influence project revenues.
• Verify ISO bilateral trade scheduling and support Day‑Ahead/Real‑Time Scheduling.
• Assist in drafting transaction confirmations (power swaps, REC sales).
• Analyze, reconcile, and support evaluation of confirmations for accuracy and economics.
• Deliver investor reporting with Asset Management and Accounting, explain budget vs. actual variances.
• Maintain revenue models for internal/external reporting and suggest process improvements.
• Develop understanding of revenue calculation methodologies and internal verification of financial impacts.
• Analyze energy market data/trends to understand drivers of solar, wind, and other assets.
